Beam and Block floors are continuously growing in popularity due to the added benefits they can offer the user.
Below is a brief list of the main advantages of using Floorspan pre stressed beams.
- There is a known, fixed cost before works commence on site.
- There is no risk to ground floors from soil shrinkage or heave.
- Potential savings over ‘traditional oversite’ can be made. There is, for example no drying time required for wet concrete and floors are often completed in a day.
- Minimal disruption to the project as there is no need for multiple deliveries of filling material for the hardcore base.
We always use rigid vehicles with crane off load for the delivery of beams and the cranes are generally at the rear which gives greater flexibility on site.
Wherever possible we are quite happy to place the beams directly on to the foundation from our delivery vehicle.
Our rear cranes can reach up to 10m and we can often reach your foundation walls from one position.
This can represent a major time and cost saving for you. It is also a great benefit if your site is cramped and there is no other space to store the beams.
