Precast concrete installer

This role is well suited to an ambitious and motivated individual with previous experience of working in Construction.

Floorspan Contracts is a specialist designer, manufacturer and installer of pre-cast concrete flooring components.

We are a growing, progressive company and due to ongoing expansion, we require an additional Precast Concrete Installer to join our passionate, dynamic team in Wisbech.

The Precast Concrete Installer role is akin to a Groundworker/labourer role installing our precast concrete flooring on construction sites located throughout East Anglia and the East of England.

You need to be able to get to Peterborough to meet up with the company van daily.

We have a strong track record of nurturing and mentoring motivated individuals, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are happy to offer training and further development for candidates.

1. To Install our pre-stressed concrete products throughout East Anglia and the East if England

2. To interpret technical installation drawings and implement them onsite.

3. To represent Floorspan in all interactions with other workers and customers onsite

4. To use and operate cutting machinery, as required

5. To work as a team with the other installers in order to get the job done

6. To achieve excellent quality of work on all installations at all times

7. To adhere to all company procedures and Health and Safety requirements when installing precast concrete flooring.

8. To adhere to all procedures and Health and Safety Requirements when working on customers construction sites.

  • Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety onsite
  • Knowledge of materials used in buildings and building methods
  • Good Team Player
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills with a good grasp of the English language
  • CSCS Card would be a distinct advantage
  • Able to get to Peterborough to meet up with the company van daily.
  • Must be comfortable working outside all year round in all weather conditions.
  • The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £11.66 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work during our busy periods,.
