Production supervisor

Floorspan Contracts is a specialist designer, manufacturer and installer of pre-stressed concrete flooring components, rated amongst the largest in the UK.

Due to ongoing expansion, we require an experienced Production Supervisor to join our passionate, dynamic team in Wisbech.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager in the production of pre-stressed concrete products. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards while leading a skilled team.

This is a physical, factory-based role. There are some elements of outside working in all weather conditions.

  • Lead and support your team, ensuring they understand their daily tasks.
  • Ensure all products are correctly measured, detailed, labelled, and stored.
  • Identify and remove product failures in line with company policy, reporting issues to the Production Manager.
  • Maintain and return all tools in working condition at the end of each day.
  • Assist the Production Manager with staff training.
  • Manage shed operations, consulting with the Production Manager as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and machinery are clean and used correctly.
  • Enforce the use of PPE and compliance with Health & Safety policies.
  • Collaborate with other teams in the yard to assist with concrete, planks, and beams production.
  • Support end-of-shift clean-up efforts.
  • Ensure all team members clock in and out daily.
  • Previous experience managing a team in a construction or precast concrete environment – desirable.
  • Strong construction background.
  • A calm, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Team player mentality—this is a key role within the Production Team.
